All I Want for Christmas Is A Job

December 18, 2025.

In this newsletter, we explore why December is the perfect time to make your career move and how to position yourself for success.

I don't want a lot for Christmas...but a career.

December is really living up to its title as the most wonderful time of the year. Good food, good vibes, and, best of all, big moves.

Christmas is the season of shift. People are leaving, migrating, and getting promoted, so companies need to get those open positions filled.

Now’s the time to get in front of the hiring managers and sing before people realise their January bills are still due.

What do you want Corporate Santa to bring you this year?

A new job title? A bigger paycheck? Better benefits? Less burnout?

Whatever it is, you have to act.

Santa’s list is almost full.

Genesis Gem of the Season!

’Tis the season to dress jolly!

If you look good, you feel good, and this is on a chemical level.

Clothes, especially the colours, can change the way your brain performs, and it's called 'enclothed cognition' or, in a cuter term, 'dopamine dressing'.

Why am I telling you this?

Because if you want to perform better at work, you have to start bringing those bright colours out of the closet. Some think colours are unprofessional, but the most professional thing you can do is show up to work as your most capable and calm self.

So add those yellows in for energy and joy, those blues in for calmness and those reds for confidence.

Dress for the mood you want to have.

The Career Advantage System!

Corporate Santa’s got nothing on us!

Santa’s good at making wishes come true, but he might be busy this year, so it's time you build your own luck.

The Career Advantage System can do just that for you. It’s our signature, all-in-one package that handles everything: the strategy (career coaching), the presentation (resume and LinkedIn), and the follow-through (interview prep). We provide the support so you have a clear path from start to finish.

Don’t wait for a career under the tree; go get your own!

Clarity Corner!

When's the best season to apply for a job?

Honestly?

September through December is an excellent time.

Budgets are fresh, teams are planning for the new year, and your competition haven't all hit "apply" yet.

But the real best time is now.

The job search is a whole process: researching, prepping, applying, following up, interviewing.

That takes time.

If you're thinking about it, this is your sign to start. Start the research. Polish your resume and search for companies hiring.

The more you sit on it, the more behind you’ll be.
